Along for the Ride
This morning, I left for work looking like this...
However, back in March, I had made a commitment to my students. I would get my head shaved if they raised enough money for the Ride to Conquer Cancer. 15 or so of my students worked together and successfully attained their goal. And as a result, I kept my word.
5 of my colleagues made the same commitment.
This is Day 1.

You're playing your life safe if there is nothing at stake
I don't feel quite ready enough for Foundations in Action. I hadn't been to Moksha in 15 days. It wasn't overly hot, so that was good, but it was tough.
It brings up the usual question; why is it that sometimes I can go everyday and sometimes I can't make it once a week?
Why do I forget how good yoga makes me feel from one time to the next?

Summary
Class : 10:00am Moksha - 90 minutes
Instructor : Jordanna

If Only...
Today was absolutely fantastic... if only I wasn't fighting a cold.
I am not sick yet, but I am so tired. I can feel that cold waiting in the shadows.
Feeling under the weather didn't stop me from stocking up the fridge. We were at the grocery store at 8am and after a quick breakfast, I was cooking up a storm.
In just a few hours, while clothes were in the washer and dryer, I made my Mom's Spaghetti Sauce, Kath's Lasagna and some Tuna Croquettes.
I have 3 more recipes awaiting me for tomorrow. And Moksha, and a brunch.
That's what I call a full weekend.

The only person who can open the door to inner truths and lead you into the light is yourself
My friend C. talked about the possibility of coming with me to yoga this morning. He was supposed to text me before 9:20 if he had decided to come.
I waited.
No text.
I could have chickened out. It was really cold after all.
But I didn't let the disappointment and the cold stop me. I dressed warmly and walked over to Moksha. I was rewarded with a fantastic practice taught by Anna.

Transformation comes out of your willingness to be
The couch was so comfortable last night. I could have stayed there, but I chose to go to Moksha instead. It was a fantastic 90 minutes practice, just lovely and challenging.
